The boat was great, lots of space in and out, warm blankets for the cold sea are, the crew were great fun and knowledgeable, quickly finding two humpback whales and a seal in the bay! VerifiedPapetz_9116 March 2020Living the dream! the ice cave was the most important part of my trip and it has not been up to my expectation with Local Guides. The short drive with the jeep was super fun, and the guide informative and friendly! Loved to be inside the ice cave and I wish I can go back to see the other one too.VerifiedJohn E18 November 2019The Only Way To Go ! We just returned from a wonderful, if cold & windy, week in Iceland. Einar was our guide for 3 of those days, We modified our schedule at his reccommendation just prior to departure. This worked out well since our initial plan would have had us touring in 60 mph winds & rain. Einar was a great advocate for Iceland. During our drives we learned a lot about local history, customs, schools & government. Of course we also were able to view all the tourist sites as well. Plus he produced the Northern Lights for us to see(main purpose of our visit). It doesn't need to be said that Einar was punctual friendly & easy to contact & deal with. This is the only way to see Iceland. Highest recommendation ! p. s. His prices were competitive.VerifiedNancy M13 April 2019Awesome Our guide explained so many things to us that we would have never known. He was friendly and had a great sense of humor. It is a must to get out there and see as much of this country as possible.VerifiedKiet L16 November 20183 perfect nights in Iceland We Spent 3 nights in Iceland. I contacted Einar at Local Guides Iceland for a private tour. Einar picked us up at the airport at 5am and took us back to our Hotel to drop off our luggage. We had breakfast and didn't waste a minute of time from exploring the beauties of Iceland. Day 1, Einar took us to see several waterfalls, as well as dropped us off for a Glacier Ice Cave Tour. After an eventful day tour, Einar took us back to have dinner and explained to us that the chances of seeing the Northern Lights were good. He also gave us recommendations on how to see them and told us it would be a waste of time and money to go on a tour searching for it. After dinner, we went back to the hotel, changed and went strolling along the dark coast line and had a spectacular view of the northern lights without paying for a tour. Einar's tips came handy and we saw the NL within 18 hours of being in Iceland. Day 2 Einar picked us up from the hotel and we went to see the tetonic plate, several waterfalls and geysers. At noon, Einar took us over to the snow mobile tour and we rode snow mobiles to a almost extinct ice cave. It was a very eventful day and Einar explained the history of Iceland to us quite well. Day 3, Einar took us south of the island to black sand beach. Along the way there, we visited several waterfalls. We also visited the southern most tip of Iceland which holds a remarkable view of several Glaciers as well as the blacksand beach all in one photo. On our way back we stopped at several more water falls and closed out our evening with drinks at the blue lagoon. Einar did a spectacular job showing us Iceland in 3 days. His service and genuine personality made us feel safe and welcoming. He picked us up at 4am and dropped us off at the airport so we would make our flight out. After leaving Iceland, Einar emailed us photos he took while we were enjoying the views of iceland. Thank you Einar! We had the best experience of our life!Verifiedchrisnj0hn26 September 2018Four hours in Iceland Long story short, my children(23 and 25) had a seven hour lay over. I contacted Local Guides and Einar was fantastic. He responded quickly and was patient with all of my questions. My children have reported that he was”GREAT!” He was knowledgeable and understood that they were tired. He happily carried the conversation. They saw lighthouses, the blue lagoon, the bridge connecting the continents and Vikingworld as well as eating breakfast. I’m looking forward to visiting Iceland on day and having a tour given by Einar.VerifiedKmralady13 September 2018The Best Way to See Iceland The ONLY way to see Iceland is to sit back and let someone experienced and local show you this vast beautiful country. We chose to see as much as possible in a 7 day trip. Our guide Elinar was amazing in both his history and patience. I took a lot of photo equipment and he not only carried it to the right spot but gave us a good understanding of what it is was we were seeing. This journey took us into little towns away from the city to really gain a better appreciation of Iceland. I highly recommend Local Guides. Is
